WINDSOR AFC England Tour 2026

We enjoyed the trip immensely!  The Travel and Play staff made things fun and relaxed.  The hotels and coaches were clean and enjoyable.    Tye itinerary was a wonderful blend of tourist and soccer experiences. 

We had a wonderful time.  A great balance of play and seeing the country and attractions.  Martyn, our guide was exceptional!  Very knowledgeable about the towns, venues and history to provide a framework as we traveled the Country.  Along with being very personable, he made the experience that much better.  Very nice hotel accommodations and coaches for travel.  We had a great family trip with a great Football Club and club families.

It was a great unique experience and the accommodations were great and having the bus take us around was awesome.  Loved the Girona Trip.  It would have been nice to have more direction on the Barcelona days.  For those we were dropped off for a handful of hours and many of us did not know the area well.  It would have been good to have some suggestions and guidance.  Also for things like Laundry near the hotel - restaurants and their hours near the hotel it would have been good to have a cheat sheet prior to arriving.  Also some suggestions on where to take a large group to eat would be nice.

Great experience for the kids on the teams.  Hotel was really good with good food.  We missed some of the sightseeing that we had on our last Travel and Play trip.  Would have liked to visited more of the nearby historical towns.  
Transportation was well organized and comfortable.

I had a wonderful time! Great locations with a great group! Food was good, comfortable accommodations. Small issue with heat on arrival in one hotel, ceiling fans would have been great. There was a good mix of activities to enjoy!

Andorra Hockey Tour 2025

This was my third trip with We Travel and it was just as amazing as the last. Berndt is an amazing guide and all around good guy. Could not recommend enough.

Had an amazing time as always. Barry & company always make sure everything is taken care of, organized and worry free to the smallest details. Great crowd, looking forward to the next trip!

It was another great trip with a great group of people, thank you for thinking outside the box I don’t think I ever would have visited Andorra without this trip. 

Caldea Spa Day

I had booked this spa day without a lot of thought, trusting that Barry, Deirdre and crew had done the usual legwork to provide a great diversion to the hockey and hiking in the lovely country of Andorra. It did NOT disappoint. 

Being an engineer and builder, I was blown away by the facility itself, with the level of artistic design and craftsmanship as you entered. I cannot fathom the cost of the sweeping stairway that served as the center of the complex. 

The cleanliness of the building was obviously due to the staff who were ever present ensuring that each client was guided throughout the multiple levels and areas. 

The only possible suggestion might be to consider an upgrade to the wristband system that was used at the spa we visited on the Iceland trip where it was used for the lockers and for adding services and or refreshments while using the facility. 

Upon leaving I wanted to see if they had any plans to expand to Toronto! 

Well done Barry and Caldea. 

First time over seas and it was a blast. From the first plan ride over to the last plane ride back. Everything was set out and easy to follow and understand. Food was great and the tour buss was clean had a lot of room. Our tour guide bear was friendly, fun, and well informed. The tour buss driver was the best driver I have experienced. Can’t wait do to this again! 

First time in Europe, this trip is indescribable in so many different ways... The people, the events, the scenery and of course the hockey.

Thank you for having me and I hope to be able to come on trips here on out and join the family.

The Andorra tournament was fantastic!!! One of the highlights was the excursion to Sitges, Spain. It was a great opportunity to meet other players before getting on the ice. I really enjoyed making new friends while catching up with old friends. Thank you so much!!!

This was our first time for many things : first time in Europe, first time playing hockey abroad and first time hand off on all the travel planning and I could not be more happy !  I was worried about how I was going to be carrying my hockey equipment from place to place, I was worried about the level of competition in the tournament and all of that went away when I saw how many people has come back year after year to this experience. The team handle logistics and transportation of the equipment so smoothly.  I met wonderful and caring people and I had a blast playing with them.  I visited places I wasn’t even expecting when I signed up to this like Montserrat and joining a Barcelona game.  I would do this again for sure if they explore places outside of Spain such us :  France - England - Switzerland.  Even the US! 

I was a late replacement for someone who could not attend, so I really hadn’t researched and chosen the trip specifically for the location or its attractions. That said, Barry and his Team set a high bar for me on my last trip to Iceland and this trip managed to clear those expectations with a wide margin. The location and hotel in Sitges was a great way to meet and greet old and new friends and teammates ahead of the tournament. The bus trip up to Andorra was lovely with a beautiful stop along the way to view an old mountain top monastery. 

We had a nice hotel all to ourselves for most of the week which was just across the street from the hotel. Storage for the gear was available at either place. 

The hockey was a balanced, friendly competition and was improved this year with our very own on ice referee. 

The mashup featured a remixing of the teams into American and Canadian players that was fun and allowed players to be better acquainted either all of the players from other teams. 

The spa was fantastic as was the Barcelona vs Girana match that we watched in the old Olympic stadium in Barcelona. 

The city walkabout was concluded with a closing dinner and a lot of laughs and promises to return.

The trip was fantastic and well organized. The company was so great. The travel was well arranged with no problems and lots of options along the way. Everyone found something they wanted to do.

The games went on without a problem and the rink was clean and ready for us. All accommodations were exactly what we needed. We even got to watch Andorra play Canada one night. We have absolutely no complaints. As always, thank you so much for organizing a great trip!

Definitely worth the time! I've never been to a spa that amazing. Great for couples or groups of friends. 

We had an amazing trip. Everything was well planned which made it so enjoyable. We met so many friendly people and learned a little history too. It was good competition and a nice venue. We had plenty of great food, drinks, and plenty of free time! I would highly recommend if you get the chance!


College of Wooster Softball Spain 2025

The trip was absolutely amazing!!!  Delicious food, great accommodations, beautiful stadium.  We wanted for nothing the entire week.  It was the perfect balance of sport and free time.  Memories to last a life time.  Barry and David are amazing hosts.  If you get the opportunity to take a trip with Travel and Play take it.  It will be the best decision you make.

Hotel and location was perfect. Competition and overall experience was 5/5! Berry is a good dude and helpful in any and all situations. Only piece of feed back I have is if there is a need for tickets to be bought to help relay that info sooner so that things are not sold out, but we still got to experience everything that we had wanted to and had an amazing guide while doing it. They didn't leave us to fend for ourselves like other experiences I have had. 

We had a great time. David and Barry were incredibly helpful and knowledgable throughout the entire trip. 

Our team had a great time in Spain! We stayed in the beautiful town of Sitges. Our hotel was right on the beach and promenade and the community was very safe for the team to explore. The trip was a great mix of relaxing, touring, and playing softball. The level of competition was perfect for our team and would 10/10 recommend this trip to other softball teams! Barry and David were excellent guides and created a trip we will remember forever! 

Wonderful experience. The group meshed well and we had so much fun. I particularly enjoyed Belfast, both recent history and the pub scene.  My favorite experience was seeing Giants Causeway and the coast of Northern Ireland. It was gorgeous!  The accommodations and transportation were top-notch! And Barry knew all the best places to visit and tour. Highly recommend!

It was a wonderful experience. Well organized, great accommodations, really terrific planning. We had an amazing time and look forward to the next trip. Thanks to Barry for everything!

The trip was awesome.  The only thing I would change is the amount of time spent at the rink.  I would rather see more bussing so that you don't have to spend 4 hours at the rink to play 1 game.  Especially since it's Iceland and you want to see as much of the country as possible.
Other than that had an amazing time!!!!

I thought it was very well organized. Right from registration to pre-authorize payments and the ability to have travel ready for me at the airport, along with new friends too!, Already prepared ; the hotel was a good quality and game structures and busing clearly communicated and booked. 

 The games itself were well organized, considering how many people and logistics had to be managed. Generally speaking, 80% of the teams were balanced, and overall the experience was wonderful. I will recommended again and sign up to play in the future. 

Iceland Women's Fall Invitational 2025

This was an incredible experience. The accommodations included in the tournament fees was seamless and made for a less stressful planning process for our trip. There was some change in game and shuttle schedules that caused some stress but overall it was all worth it! 

Filthy Filberts - Iceland Invitational 2025

This is our third trip with Travel and play. We had a wonderful experience with Barry on our Scotland/Ireland adult trip. The itinerary was created with much thought as to what attendees would enjoy and scheduled at a good pace allowing for proper free time. Barry provided many great suggestions on what to do, where to eat, and how to get to transport during our exploration time. The accommodations were lovely and convenient. Oh, and his many jokes... well, I will leave those up to the imagination. 
I would not hesitate to do this or ANY of the trips Travel and Play creates in the future. <3

We had a very nice trip. Barry was a great guide. He was very familiar with each location and we came to rely on his recommendations as far as activities, bars and restaurants.  There was plenty of time to explore on our own. 

One recommendation: perhaps don’t need all 4 brewery/distillery tours. 

The Celtic Pub trip was so much fun. Barry was an awesome host, and our fellow travelers were great company. We can't wait for the next opportunity to go on a similar adventure.

It was a very nice trip.    Good weather which is always nice and great people to be around.  Took a little getting used to Iceland air travel but better on trip back.   Tournament and teams were fun and nice.   Accomodations were great with a nice breakfast.

My son and I had a fantastic time traveling with his soccer team to Denmark. The trip was exceptionally well organized, featuring a structured itinerary that balanced scheduled activities with plenty of free time for exploration. Each day began with a full breakfast buffet at the hotel, followed by either sightseeing or tournament games. Everyone enjoyed the historic canals of Copenhagen, visiting Legoland, and meeting the locals who were extraordinarily kind and polite. The combination of soccer matches and the opportunity to learn firsthand about Danish culture made the experience truly unforgettable. My son and I are very grateful for the trip.

FUSION Vildbjerg Cup 2025

Great trip, great people and accommodations.  Planning was wonderful.  Housing was good and food options were great.

Every parent was so impressed with how well everything was structured. The guides were fantastic and added a personal touch. We had plenty of free time built in to explore the city and the tournament was amazing. If you take the soccer component out of the trip, the stay in the school at the tournament was the best part for the kids. They stayed in a school with teams from all over the world. My kids became fast friends with kids from Spain, Portugal,  Germany, Nigeria, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Italy and many others. When the tournament ended, my two kids traded jerseys with kids from Greece and the Philippines, and came home with the confidence that they can compete with anyone in the world. If you are looking for a trip that the kids will never forget, I highly recommend doing this. 

RISE Norway Cup 2025

Our recent trip to Iceland for the Rey Cup was a truly fantastic and memorable experience. We flew Icelandair on a direct, overnight flight, which was convenient and got us to our hotel by 8:00 AM the next day, ready to start our adventure.

The hotel was great—small but comfortable, with a fantastic breakfast spread that included a huge selection of food and individual cappuccino machines that were a highlight. It was also centrally located, which made getting to the main playing areas very easy.

One of the standout moments of the trip was the Golden Circle Tour. Iceland is stunningly beautiful, and we especially enjoyed the fun of seeing the geysers erupt and the impressive beauty of the waterfall. The opening ceremony for the Rey Cup was also a blast; the kids had a great time dancing to local music and doing a "train" around the stadium.

The Rey Cup matches themselves were very competitive and well-matched for the kids. Our team was on the younger side of the age bracket, but the games were challenging without being discouraging. The kids never lost by more than one goal, and they came away excited about the possibility of returning next year. The social events, like the BBQ party at a local amusement park, were a lot of fun for the kids, even with the long food lines for the hamburgers!

We wrapped up the trip with a visit to the Blue Lagoon, which was an absolutely amazing and unique experience. The warm water and beautiful surroundings were the perfect way to relax before heading home.

A few things to be aware of for future travelers: the hotel rooms did not have air conditioning, which could be an issue on hotter days, though the screened windows helped. Also, everything in Iceland is quite expensive, costing about 20-40% more than in the United States, so it's important to budget accordingly.

Overall, for a first our international trip, the organization did a fantastic job. The convenience of everyone speaking English and accepting credit cards everywhere made it incredibly smooth. We would highly recommend this trip to other teams and families—it was a wonderful experience for all of us.

C2 United Rey Cup 2025

Fantastic trip and wonderful experience. Definitely worth it. 

Our team trip to the Vildbjerg Cup was wonderful.  Travel and Play did a great job of organizing a balance of some sightseeing, and yet giving us some free time to explore on our own as well.  The hotels were wonderful.  The highlight of the trip was a pre-tournament scrimmage with a local team, followed by an informal dinner with them.  The quick friendships and connections that grew from that added an element of the travel experience that you simply can't replicate with any other type of travel.

Accommodations were in a perfect location and had all one could possibly need. Everyone with travel and play were incredibly knowledgeable on the area and able to answer all my questions and help the players with any issues. Such a great experience in a beautiful welcoming country!
